I translate all sorts of texts, mostly from Spanish to English.
I have been employed to perform most kinds of professional translation work — from simultaneous interpretation for the Desert Adventure Tour Company in San Pedro De Atacama, Chile, and The City of Long Beach, CA’s Fire & Marine Safety Division, to work as an academic translator for the International Journal of Dialogic-Collaborative Practices. I’ve even translated political communications, like a 30-second radio spot for Lauren Underwood for Congress and the Spanish-language version of the Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker’s reelection website.
That said, the work I enjoy most is literary translation.
Some of my recent literary translation work can be found in Latin American Literature Today, The Southern Review, and The Columbia Journal, and my complete translations of Monserrat Sepulveda’s Hasta Mi Mama and Santiago Arau’s Patrimonio were published this year.
I’m excited to share that more is on the way — including my complete translation of Chilco by Daniela Catrileo (Farrar, Straus & Giroux & Charco Press, July 2025), Daniela Catrileo’s essay, “Hebra por Hebra” in La Lucha: Latin American Feminism Today (Charco Press, 2026), and my complete translation of Piñen (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, April 2026).
Clients will find that I take great care and pay exceptional attention to the nuances of each text. No matter what style your text is written in, I’d love to help it reach English-speaking readers.
I guarantee accurate, thoughtful translation in every style — or your money back.
